I’ve had the idea for this one for a long time. The title is from a Barbara Kruger piece of the same name, and I took that phrase and applied it to a slightly more universal idea. I wrote this feeling like my fellow college students and I were being forced through a mold without even questioning it. I see it as a sort of call to action, for everyone to do what they want to do and not just do things because it’s what they’re “supposed” to do.
